How do we express our love toward another person? Certainly not only with our words, saying things like ‘I love you’ because words are never enough. If you love someone you would express your love with your deeds, with your actions. You never want to hurt the person you love; you don’t want to disappoint that person. You want to be available and ready to help. You want to spend more time with the person you love, to remember their birthdays, call them, simply be there for them. In a similar way, it is never enough telling Jesus that you love Him if you don’t express that love in deeds and actions. You can pray all you want, go to church each Sunday, but if you don’t follow God’s commandments then your prayers mean nothing. “Jesus said to his disciples: Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me.” Do you truly love God? Then prove it.
