Saturday of the Fourteenth Week in Ordinary Time ‘c’

Today we hear from Jesus: “Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father. But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father.” But this world reminds us to keep our beliefs and our faith to ourselves. Tells us to remove religious symbols from our schools, hospitals, places of work, in order not to hurt anybody else’s feelings. This world doesn’t want you to pray in public nor to remind others what is morally wrong. However, this is not what our Lord wants from us. He wants us to acknowledge Him before others. Yes, they may not like that, may feel offended, may reject you, or make fun of you, but this is the price for being a Christian. If we persevere, then Christ will acknowledge us before His Heavenly Father.
