Saturday of the Twenty Second Week in Ordinary Time ‘c’

We must be careful of not becoming judgmental of others. And we know how easily this may happen. At times we don’t even say anything, but in our thoughts, we criticize another person. This happens even in the church during mass while some people, instead on focusing on holy mass, observe others and make judgments -- why is she wearing that? -- Why is he kneeling while all are standing? That child is annoying, why is she singing that loud; put that phone away. And of course, holy mass is a sacred moment, and we should dress and behave properly, but more importantly, we should focus on God, not observe and point out other’s mistakes. This is what the Pharisees did -- they were constantly observing Jesus and His disciples, just to be able to catch them for doing something wrong. They were blinded to see the good, but just wanted to see mistakes.
