Wherever you go, whatever program on TV you watch, whatever radio station you listen to, or when you are searching the Internet, you are being overwhelmed by all kinds of ads and commercials. Even your mailbox gets filled with all kinds of advertisements and promotions. They will try to convince you what product is the best for you or even what would make you happy in life. It is difficult or even impossible to run away from all that, and sometimes we get confused about whom to listen to, who is telling us the truth, and who wants to just take advantage of us. So, in all this, our God comes to us with a rescue plan, with a perfect plan. Today on the mount of Transfiguration God tells us whom we should listen to. There is only one person whom we can totally trust, who cares about you and me, who loves us and would never deceive us. Of course, it is the Son of God, Jesus Christ. “Then a cloud came, casting a shadow over them; from the cloud came a voice, ‘This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.’” Whenever you are sad, confused, puzzled, troubled, or whenever you are struggling with your faith, turn to Jesus and listen to Him. He has the perfect answer to everything.
