What do you feel when you pray and when you talk and listen to God? Perhaps you often stop by your local church just to spend some time in silence, rest from the busyness of this world, forget about daily struggles and problems. Do you feel peaceful, loved, protected? Someone once told me that he comes to mass daily because he wants to receive Jesus in the Eucharist and ask Him for the blessings for that entire day. Many of us, especially in the challenging moments of life, find a way to God, just to bring Him our worries and questions and ask for help. Today in the Gospel reading Jesus reassures us that He is there for us, always available so we can pray, talk, to listen, and to ask Him for some advice. He knows how confusing and even difficult life can become. He loves us and is always ready to listen. “Jesus said: Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.”
