Thursday of the Second Week of Easter

Jesus is the Son of God, He came to us from Heaven, from above. Even though He was born of the Virgin and took human flesh, He was conceived by the Holy Spirit. That’s why Jesus, like no one else, knows How limited our world is compared to what we should expect from Heaven. Heaven is our ultimate destiny, and when we get there, we won’t miss anything of this world. But this is what Jesus is promising us, and we can listen to Him and find comfort in His words, or we can have doubts, reject Him, and listen to the rulers of this world who would try to convince us that there is no Heaven, and there is no God. We have a choice; it is up to us. So Jesus reminds us today: “The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things. But the one who comes from heaven is above all. He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony.
