Thursday of the Thirty Second Week in Ordinary Time ‘a’

Jesus said: “The coming of the Kingdom of God cannot be observed, and no one will announce, 'Look, here it is,' or, 'There it is.' For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.” The Pharisees were asking the Lord when the Kingdom of God would come because they were expecting something spectacular to happen. But Jesus tells them that the Kingdom of God is already here, among you. Perhaps you too wonder when the Kingdom of God will come, when all this evil that is happening in this world will be conquered? Where will there be justice on the earth? And Jesus gives us the same answer “the Kingdom of God is among you.” How, where? The Kingdom of God is always there when we spread His message of love, when we serve others, when we perform good deeds, when we forgive, when we believe that the Son of God is here, present in another person and in the Eucharist. The Kingdom of God is among us; we just need to be able to see it.
