Wednesday after Epiphany

“Take courage, it is I, do not be afraid!” Today’s Gospel reading, with the story of Jesus calming down the storm, reminds me always that Jesus is bigger, stronger, and more powerful than any of my own personal struggles and challenges. Also reminds me that whenever I face any difficulties in my life, I need to look for Jesus and invite Him to get into my boat. Life can be unpredictable. Different things just like a storm can hit us, trying to discourage us and weaken our faith. Those terrified disciples in the boat tossed by the storm didn’t know what to do and were losing their faith. But Jesus reminds them and us today that He has the power to overcome any kind of storm that may come our way. We just need to trust, take courage, and do not be afraid.
