Wednesday of the 5 week in ordinary time ‘c’

A good and noble person would avoid bad actions, bad words, and would avoid gossiping. A good and noble person would take time to apologize to others and would live a good moral life. But at the same time a bad person would act sinfully. Nothing new, right. That’s how you and I could tell who is good and who is bad; we know that by their actions. A very popular Christian song comes to mind now: “They'll Know We are Christians by Our Love.” It is so simple. If we claim to be Christians, those who follow Jesus and have faith, then we can’t pollute this world with things that are sinful and wrong. If we do that, nobody would be attracted to Christianity, and simply say -- I don’t want to be part of this religion, I don’t want to become that kind of Christian. Instead, we need to fill this world with love, with goodness, with forgiveness. Only then will others see Christ in us and will be attracted to Jesus. “Hear me, all of you, and understand. Nothing that enters one from outside can defile that person; but the things that come out from within are what defile.”
