Wednesday of the Sixth Week of Easter ‘b’

We all have doubts regarding our faith, regarding our religion. Is there really life after this life? Is there a heaven? What will happen to me when I die? There are even times when we question God’s existence, especially when we face a certain tragedy in life. We would like to have the answers to these kinds of questions instead of guessing and doubting. Why wouldn’t God reveal them to us, give us some kind of proof? But when I think about this, I began to understand that one day I will have the answers to all my questions, but not yet. Maybe I am not ready, maybe it isn’t the right time. Just like with the disciples from the gospel reading today when Jesus tells them: “I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now. But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth.” When we are born to this life, we don’t know anything/ But then we grow, we learn, we understand more and more - we learn something new every day. The same with our faith - we grow, we learn, but we might not be ready for everything that Jesus has planned for us just yet.
