Wednesday of the Twenty Ninth Week in Ordinary Time ‘a’

Jesus said, “Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more.” How much have you been entrusted with? We may think that those words of Jesus were addressed to the leaders of religion of Jesus’ time, and they probably were, since they received knowledge and an excellent education and a high-status position. Their call was to use all of that for the good of others and not for their selfish desires. But those words of Jesus are still very actual today for us. All of us baptized people, those who have access to the sacraments, to the Eucharist and much more. We have been entrusted with so much, and so much will be required from us too. We need to share and multiply what we have received, not keep it only to ourselves.
