When my mom was dying of cancer, it was very sad and heartbreaking seeing her suffer and get weaker and weaker. And when she died, I thought to myself, she is really in a much better place without all that pain and suffering. Jesus reminds us about that place today and tells us that we will be experiencing pain, sadness, hunger, loneliness, rejection, and many other challenges in this life. However, all of that will pass and then we will be rewarded in Heaven. “Blessed are you who are now weeping, for you will laugh.” We are blessed that the Lord gave us those wonderful words of comfort.
